Review by Gee Ranasinha

Memories of Navajoland by Ed Lee Natay is a beautiful album that showcases the timeless beauty of Navajo music. From the haunting melodies of the flute to the rhythmic drumming, every track on this album is a tribute to the rich cultural heritage of the Navajo people.

The album opens with the soothing sounds of the flute on "Morning Song", which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The use of traditional instruments like the Apache fiddle and the Navajo drum adds authenticity to the music and creates a sense of connection to the land and the people.

Throughout the album, Ed Lee Natay's voice is a constant presence, singing in both Navajo and English. His voice is both powerful and gentle, and his lyrics evoke a sense of nostalgia and longing for a simpler time.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "The Beauty Way", a song that celebrates the Navajo way of life and the connection between the people and the land. The use of chanting and harmonies adds depth and complexity to the song, making it a truly moving experience.
