Now, 30 years after I heard it for the first time, it has so much more meaning than I ever could have imagined. Truly a timeless classic. This version with the extended solo is the only way to listen to it. Just so rich. The ending makes more sense now too, like after you've lived through all of those feelings, it's the culmination of finally coming to a sense of complete fulfillment, that every experience bad or good, all had their purpose in shaping your life to get to this moment. Hopefully you enjoyed those experiences and learned something along the way and also now have the realization that it's never truly over; you just keep on living and experiencing life.
This has to be one of my top five favorite tracks ever. I suppose depending on the mood, the order changes, but this is frequently #1 for me.
I never heard this version until years after it was on the radio.
Great sound.
